Place buildings on a hexagonal grid where adjacency bonuses change based on terrain and season. A forge next to a forest gives wood discounts, but a quarry next to a river unlocks stone bridges for faster troop movement.

Six core resources — wood, stone, iron, food, gold, and faith — each with multiple production chains. Trade routes can be raided, and a drought or blight can collapse your food supply if you haven't built granaries.

Five rival kingdoms with distinct agendas. Form alliances, arrange royal marriages, or provoke wars. Each faction remembers your past actions, so betraying a truce will close diplomatic options for the rest of the campaign.

Command units on a 3D battlefield with terrain elevation, weather effects, and morale mechanics. Siege weapons can breach walls, archers on high ground gain range, and cavalry charges break infantry formations.

Each in-game year cycles through spring, summer, autumn, and winter. Harvest yields change, rivers freeze, and special events like the Autumn Fair or Winter Raids offer unique rewards and risks.

Your ruler ages and eventually passes the crown to an heir. Traits, skills, and relationships carry over, but each heir has their own personality and starting conditions, forcing you to adapt your long-term strategy.
